INTENSIVE ASHTANGA WEEK with ELOISA (authorized level II KPJAYI)
Program:
Monday-Friday Mysore Week | 08.12. - 12.12.25 | 07.00-09.00AM
To be able to commit a long term practice, it is fundamental to find sustainability. A way to do this is to create a different relation between each student and the method; taking in account time available, body conditions and experience with the practice.
This is a very important subject that Eloisa has been exploring and experimenting with during her past years of practicing and teaching.
This week we will focus on making our practices durable in time. Doing this will enable you to experince long term benefits in your body and mind.
Saturday Mysore Morning | 13.12.25 | 09.00-11.00AM
Saturday "Breaking the Box – Creativity within Tradition" Workshop | 14.12.25 | 02.00-05.00PM
Ashtanga Yoga gives us a clear structure, and within that structure there is room to play,
adapt, and discover our own way of practicing. In this workshop, we will explore how
creativity can live inside tradition, keeping the essence of the method while allowing
space for individuality, sustainability, and joy.
Through mindful exploration of postures, breath, and sequencing, participants will engage
with the practice in ways that encourage adaptability, self-awareness, and long-term
sustainability. Eloisa will guide students to reconnect with the experience of practicing in
a way that feels alive, balanced, and responsive to their own needs. The aim is to refresh
our practice, discover new tools, and reconnect with the enjoyment of moving, breathing,
and learning.
The workshop offers a space where students can explore different approaches to familiar
sequences, notice their personal tendencies, and gain insights that support both their
physical and mental practice.
In this workshop you will:
• Learn how to approach the Ashtanga system in a flexible, sustainable way while
respecting its essence.
• Explore variations and different approaches to familiar postures, sequencing, and
breath.
• Contemplate the relationship between structure and creativity, noticing how
adaptability can deepen your understanding of practice.
• Practice ways of moving, breathing, and sequencing that encourage curiosity,
presence, and individual expression.
• Engage in a shared learning environment, discovering how teacher and student
can co-create a balanced and supportive space.
• Reflect on how to bring insights from this workshop into your ongoing practice,
integrating new perspectives and sustaining long-term growth.

Eloisa Fernández
Eloisa Fernández Iskandar is an Authorised Level II Ashtanga teacher whose path has
always revolved around teaching. Before dedicating herself fully to yoga, she spent over a decade as a preschool teacher, following a constructivist approach that nurtures each child’s individual growth, a foundation she has carried into her yoga teaching. Her teaching is progressive, clear, and individualized, focusing on building sustainable practices by adapting the Ashtanga system to each student’s needs, encouraging creativity, versatility, and innovation within the practice. She believes in co-creating the space between teacher and student, deconstructing traditional hierarchies, and bringing a collaborative, inclusive approach to the Mysore class. Alongside her Ashtanga roots, she has also studied and practiced other styles of yoga and physical disciplines, which she includes in her teaching as tools to help students individualize their practice.
Since 2013, she has traveled regularly to India to study under the late Sharath Jois, receiving his Authorization in 2016 and assisting him in Mysore from 2017 to 2019. Along the way, she has been deeply influenced by senior teachers including Lino Miele, Eddie Stern, Laruga Glaser, Petri Räisänen, Richard Freeman, David Swenson, and Ty Landrum, and has studied chanting and yoga philosophy with Dr. M.A. Jayashree and Prof. M. Narasimha.
Eloisa began teaching in 2014 in Barcelona, later founding Ashtanga Yoga Trójmiasto in Poland and building a dedicated community. Since then, she has led Mysore programs, workshops, and retreats across Europe and Venezuela. In 2019, she moved to the Netherlands, where she directed a Mysore program and later opened The New Shala, which she held until 2024 before focusing on collaborations with different schools and supporting students more broadly.
